About the role
A well-regarded Acumatica partner with a growing North West footprint is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales / Solution Architect to anchor its bid and discovery activity across mid-market manufacturing, distribution and professional services prospects. You will be the technical face of the practice from first qualified meeting through to signed statement of work — running structured discovery, shaping the solution, leading demos, and underwriting the proposal so delivery starts with a realistic, deliverable design.
Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery workshops, qualify scope and pain points, and translate business outcomes into Acumatica solution blueprints spanning Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, Project Accounting and Field Service. Build and deliver tailored demos that speak to each prospect’s process — not generic showcases. Own technical responses to RFP / RFI, including integration architecture, data migration approach, deployment topology, ISV selection and licensing sizing.
Partner with sales on commercial shape and with delivery on a realistic estimate and risk register. Stay current with the Acumatica roadmap, new module releases and the wider xRP / cloud ERP landscape, and act as a credible advisor inside accounts post-sale where solution drift threatens value.
What We’re Looking For
Strong hands-on Acumatica experience — implementation, configuration or pre-sales — across at least two of Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing or Field Service. Comfortable running a discovery and challenging a prospect’s stated requirement when it doesn’t match the underlying process. Confident, evidence-led demo presence and a track record of shaping winning proposals in the £150k–£1m+ range.
Working knowledge of Acumatica integration patterns (REST/contract-based APIs, Acumatica xRP, common ISVs such as Velixo, ADDSUM, payment gateways, EDI). Background in another cloud ERP (NetSuite, Business Central, Sage Intacct, SAP S/4HANA, Epicor or Odoo) is welcome — we will retrain on Acumatica specifics. UK-based with right to work; willing to travel to client sites across the North West and occasionally further afield.
