Electrical Engineer – PLC Engineer (Water Sector)

Location: Central England/East Anglia

Rate: up to £60 an hour

Contract Duration: 6‑12 months

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for automation and control systems? We’re seeking a talented PLC Engineer to join our team on a key project in the water sector. If you’re driven, technically skilled, and ready to make a significant impact, this opportunity could be for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Functional Design Specifications from customer control philosophies.
  • Program, test, and commission PLC & HMI code to ensure flawless operations.
  • Collaborate with Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi PLC & HMI systems (experience but not essential).
  • Work with SCADA systems (experience but not essential).
  • Deliver high‑quality projects for UK Water Authorities, with the option to leverage a strong automation or process background if water‑specific experience is limited.
  • Manage tasks autonomously, demonstrating strong self‑motivation and initiative.
