Senior FP&A Manager – Full Time (Hybrid, Derby)
Rolls‑Royce is looking for a Senior FP&A Manager to lead the profit and cash forecasting processes, drive financial performance analysis, and provide insights to senior leadership across the group.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the profit and cash in‑year forecasting process, preparing schedules that explain changes in the forecast along with associated risks, opportunities and levers.
- Lead the daily cash forecasting process, walking home commitments for the HY/FY and preparing schedules that explain changes in the forecast along with associated risks, opportunities and levers.
- Seek and resolve process‑related issues across the Group to improve the efficiency and quality of near‑term forecast outputs.
- Provide insightful analysis of drivers of actual performance and variances to plan, focusing on working capital, group funds flow and the Civil LTSA balance.
- Support decision‑making for the Group CFO, Group CEO, the Executive Team and the Board on where interventions are required.
- Drive improved quality and consistency in how divisions and functional areas report financial performance, ensuring clear explanations of key drivers.
- Produce monthly performance reports for senior leadership, analysing year‑on‑year movements and variances to budget/forecast.
- Produce ad‑hoc performance reporting to analyse specific topics from senior leadership or Investor Relations.
- Manage interaction between Divisions, Group Finance, functional areas and Investor Relations at year‑end and interim results to ensure collective understanding of performance ahead of external reporting.
- Continuously improve management information and data, providing review and constructive challenge to in‑year forecasts and budgets.
- Work with divisions to ensure they deliver financial commitments, proactively review risks and opportunities and drive interventions for optimal performance.
Key Experiences and Qualifications
- Senior finance leadership experience, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills, able to engage senior audiences who use outputs from this role.
- Solid grasp of the Group’s accounting policies and financial statements, with hands‑on knowledge of key Rolls‑Royce finance systems (HFM and VBM).
- Excellent communication skills, able to distil and simplify complex data and information.
- Delivery‑focused, proactive, able to prioritise and work under minimal supervision.
- Organised, flexible and resilient.
- Professionally qualified accountant or equivalent.
- Experience in working‑capital management and financial forecasting at a senior level.
