Job Description:

A highly respected organisation within the financial services sector is seeking a talented and driven analyst to join its high-performing FP&A team. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of senior-level decision-making, providing the analytical intelligence that steers commercial performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities as FP&A Analyst

  • Produce high-quality financial analysis that directly informs strategic decision-making and provides meaningful assessment of business performance.
  • Collaborate with business units to build financial models and scenario analysis in support of growth strategies and new product initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly performance dashboards for senior leadership, incorporating actuals, forecasts, and budget comparisons.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue trends, cost drivers, and key performance metrics to sharpen the accuracy of forward-looking projections.
  • Contribute to the annual planning cycle, working alongside organisational leaders to incorporate strategic priorities into budgets and forecasts.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects with the freedom to challenge existing approaches and introduce improved analytical methodologies.
  • Build strong working relationships across Finance, Risk, Corporate Strategy, and People teams to support organisation-wide initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Financial Reporting team on reporting tasks and deliverables as required.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant – ACA preferred from a top practice
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build and present polished, data-driven outputs.
  • Effective communicator – able to present ideas clearly in writing and to stakeholder groups, including senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage upward, influence decisions, and engage confidently with professionals at all levels.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, with a strong sense of personal ownership and commitment to delivering accurate work.
  • A genuine team player with a collaborative spirit and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Possession of, or working towards, the Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a financial services environment.
