Clark Wood is working with an established and well-regarded independent firm in Swansea who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified (or part-qualified) accountant with solid practice experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive firm that offers clear progression to Senior Accountant level.
The successful candidate will undertake a varied general practice role, preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, alongside associated tax compliance. You will also be involved in bookkeeping and VAT preparation, and play a key role in supporting clients with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax from April.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Supporting clients with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
- Assisting with personal and business tax compliance
- Working directly with clients and supporting wider team members
Candidate Requirements
- AAT qualified (or part-qualified) with 1+ years’ experience in accountancy practice
- Good working knowledge of bookkeeping software (QuickBooks experience preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
- Keen to progress into a Senior Accountant role
