The Opportunity

A leading digital marketing agency based in Birmingham is looking for a PPC Specialists to join its growing Paid Media team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with approximately 1-4+ years of paid search experience who is passionate about driving performance through Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.

Working closely with experienced Paid Media leaders and a wider team of digital specialists, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, optimising and reporting on paid search campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns across a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Develop and implement paid search strategies designed to improve performance and achieve client objectives.
  • Monitor campaign performance, budgets and KPIs, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct keyword research, search term analysis and negative keyword management.
  • Create and test ad copy, extensions and campaign structures to maximise results.
  • Work collaboratively with digital specialists across SEO, Paid Social, Analytics and Client Services teams.
  • Produce regular performance reports and present insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic guidance.
  • Support client retention and growth through consistently delivering high-quality campaign performance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates and emerging opportunities within paid media.

Skills & Experience

  • 1–4+ years’ experience managing PPC campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads and/or Microsoft Ads.
  • Strong understanding of Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and conversion tracking.
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience using Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) to create reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Experience with Google Merchant Center and product feed management.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads Editor, automated rules and bulk campaign management.
  • Exposure to Google Ads Scripts or campaign automation tools.
  • Experience using CRO and user behaviour tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.
  • Google Ads certifications.
  • Experience working on ecommerce accounts.
