The middle school at St Andrew’s has a strong and distinctive identity, with a clear focus on preparing students for success in the senior school and beyond — academically, socially, and personally.
Reporting to the secondary school principal, the head of middle school will provide strategic and day‑to‑day leadership across Years 9–11. This includes leading and supporting the team of deans, assistant deans and tutors, as well as overseeing the middle school learning support and careers teams. The role plays a pivotal part in shaping a positive and cohesive student experience across the middle school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing student academic progress, including monitoring, tracking, and mentoring
- Leading and strengthening wellbeing and pastoral care systems
- Managing student conduct, engagement, and restorative practices
- Ensuring the effective administration and operations of the middle school
