Duties
- Manage and direct the research and development programs to meet the company’s requirements.
- Responsible for developing and executing new product development, and works with the relevant operations team to bring these products to market.
- Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
- Lead key projects with R & D to support business goals.
- Manage and develop concepts, products and solutions by coordinating with relevant business units.
- Hire and train R & D personnel.
- Manage project goals and priorities by collaborating with Sales & Marketing and Operations Teams.
- Research, design, review and evaluate raw materials, processes and equipment.
- Create and develop concepts, products and solutions by working with company business units.
- Ensure that all research and development procedures and steps are documented.
- Develop customer relationships and manage RFP Review, Customers and Product Testing.

Relevant Experience & Educational qualifications
- Experienced Research and Development Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the food industry.
- Skilled in Research and Development (R&D), Quality Control, Statistics, and Nutrition.
- Strong research professional with a Master’s degree.
- Fluent in both spoken and written Japanese, as regular communication with Japan, Head office and clients are required.
