Legal Secretary Insurance Defence
Location: BelfastSalary: £24k-30k
A leading Belfast law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their busy Insurance Defence team. You will support a well-established department that works with a wide range of insurer clients across Northern Ireland, assisting on matters ranging from early-stage recoveries through to complex personal injury and litigation claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Providing day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
- Inputting MI data into spreadsheets and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with Excel work and wider team administration
- Supporting colleagues with workflow, file management and operational duties
- Working both independently and as part of a busy legal support team
The Candidate
- Previous audio typing experience within a high-volume environment
- Experience in a legal, secretarial or administrative support role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Experience with MI / Management Information would be desirable but is not essential
