The Lync Account Manager (AM) will report into the Business Development Manager and will be responsible for strengthening relationships with advisers, driving growth by generating new adviser opportunities and supporting advisers in building their client base. The role focuses on promoting financial planning and advice services, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, and contributing to the firm’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Firm Support and Development/Adviser Relationship Management
- 1:1’s with advisers
- Adviser Annual Leave approval/management
- Adviser Expenses approval
- Individual adviser development
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with advisers and firms
- Act as a key point of contact for advisers and firms
Platform and Asset Management
Strong focus on legacy and new inflows

- Identify opportunities

Embed the Restricted Proposition
- Webinars
- Organise speakers and invite delegates
- Set timings and manage logistics of session
- Create slides
- Coordinate follow up actions
- Organise bespoke firm sessions
- Identify proposition knowledge gaps within firms
Assist onboarding of new firms
- Deliver onboarding sessions to prospective firms/organize speakers/set agendas
- Attend weekly onboarding call to maintain contact with onboarding team
- Liaise with the membership team and manage firm relationship
Recruitment
- Weekly meeting with Business Development Director & Business Development Manager to track recruitment opportunities
- Prospecting and support meetings with Business Development Manager
- Ad-hoc support for time sensitive opportunities within the industry
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company objectives
Data/Legacy MI
- Collaborate with Business Development Manager & MI team to identify productivity opportunities
- Deliver both face to face and teams sessions on opportunities
- Monitor progress towards corporate targets
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in business development within financial advice, wealth management, or IFA environments.
- Strong understanding of financial planning products (pensions, investments, protection).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting or working alongside financial advisers.
- Target-driven mindset.
Desirable
- Strong commercial awareness
- Knowledge of FCA regulatory environment.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards) highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
