The Opportunity
We're looking for ambitious Sales Consultants to join our expanding renewables team and help grow our footprint across England and Wales.
You'll play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities — combining technical understanding with genuine enthusiasm for renewable energy.

Your Responsibilities
- Proactively generate, qualify, and convert new sales leads across domestic, commercial, and agricultural markets.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to ensure accuracy and quality at every stage of the sales cycle.
- Follow up leads quickly, maintaining a live and transparent sales pipeline.
- Follow a consultative approach, ensuring solution suitability and compliance.
- Provide accurate, professional quotations and proposals, adhering to company and other standards.
- Ensure a seamless handover to delivery teams, with all technical and client details properly documented.
- Represent Solarsense at events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain strong customer relationships before, during, and after the sale to drive satisfaction and referrals.
- Report on market trends and opportunities to support ongoing business development.

Skills & Experience Essential:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in B2B built environment products.
- A strong understanding of the renewable energy marketplace, especially solar PV.
- Confident, professional, and trustworthy communication style.
- Willingness to generate and nurture your own leads (company leads may follow proven performance).
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Laptop with Microsoft Office or compatible software.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with PVSOL or PVSyst design software or other yield estimation tools.
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures.

Important Information
If these services are to be provided on a self-employed basis, the consultant will deliver these
services to Solarsense UK Ltd through their own limited company, operating as an independent
contractor. In that case, they will be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, and
statutory obligations. The engagement will be governed by a formal IR35 compliant sales consultancy agreement and is expected to operate outside the scope of IR35.
