About the role
With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They serve local communities, make a positive impact every day, and help us work alongside communities to look after the environment and foster an inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal teams
- Manage processes for Veolia commercial subcontracted services
- Undertake proactive customer terminations and suspension requests
- Take ownership of customer survey responses and review them regularly
- Contact Camden customers proactively when services fail (e.g., bad deliveries or collections)
- Collaborate with the communications team to deliver new assets and mail-outs
- Work with the Commercial Portfolio Manager and Project Manager to develop additional proactive processes
- Complete contract processing for Sales Officers, liaising with Customer Services and Credit Administration teams to avoid delays
- Manage all contract changes that are no value or revenue decreases
- Manage the pre‑pay customer list and convert regular order pattern customers to scheduled contracts
- Support the Senior Sales Officer and Internal Account Executive with site visits and risk assessments
- Undertake cold calling for potential customers that are hard to reach from field sales
- Provide assistance to the Senior Sales Officer at events
Qualifications
Essential
- Relationship management
- Experience in a commercial waste environment
- Ability to lead by example
- Experience dealing directly with customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive approach to customer service
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- IT competency
Desirable
- Waste industry knowledge and processes
- Customer service experience
