Job overview

The post is an exciting developmental role within the Podiatry department at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. The role will cover a wide range of podiatric care, working in both acute and community settings. The post is open to newly qualified podiatrists or undergraduates awaiting their HCPC annotation. The post is based on 37.5 hours per week and is open to job share or flexible working, but the hours are Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30. Post is subject to Agenda for Change review.

Main duties of the job

The role will include rotation into different specialties both within podiatry and the wider multidisciplinary teams, working with key stakeholders. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients in a wide range of clinical settings, including patients’ own homes, in both acute and community settings. You will be expected to manage a wide range of podiatric pathologies, including high-risk foot, diabetes offloading clinics, nail surgery, and rheumatology rotation. You will be required to enter clinical notes using a variety of IT systems, and to work with our administration colleagues to facilitate ongoing patient care in line with departmental guidelines, ensuring resources are maximised and those in highest clinical need are prioritised.

Qualifications

  • BSC (Hons) or equivalent Podiatry
  • HCPC registration Podiatry
  • Evidence of ability to utilise multiple IT systems
  • Evidence of experience and ability to work in difficult situations and sole problems
