Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Support Officer to lead and manage a dynamic team of 11 administrators supporting our Youth Service. This role is perfect for a strong leader who can guide the team through exciting changes, including new systems and the development of AI. You will have the flexibility to work from any NCC office across the county, as our team operates in a hybrid model. This is a part‑time position, with a preference for working at the end of the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating a team of administrators to achieve high performance.
- Navigating the team through changes in systems and processes.
- Providing clear management oversight of operational processes and expectations.
- Representing the team in operational discussions and ensuring their voice is heard.
- Contributing to the development of the wider Corporate Business Support Service.
Qualifications
- A management or business qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of accounting procedures.
- A good understanding of performance and people management principles.
- Experience in strategic or operational commissioning within local authorities or similar settings.
