Senior Programme Manager

Lead integrated teams to deliver portfolios and programmes within Severn Trent’s Capital Investment Programme, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while driving continuous improvement in design, procurement and construction.

Location

Based in Finham (Coventry) or Tamworth office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cross‑functional Programme team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Deliver portfolios and programmes of work within the Capital Delivery team, ensuring projects are performed on time, to budget and to quality.
• Work with stakeholders at all levels to align programme objectives, manage risks and resolve challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, design, procurement and construction.
• Develop and coach team members, fostering a high‑performance culture and success.
• Ensure financial and operational targets for projects and programmes are achieved.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in leading large, complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and programmes.
• Experience managing diverse internal and external stakeholders, often across different business functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in high‑risk, high‑complexity, high‑value project delivery.
• Ability to work closely with supply‑chain partners to deliver results.
• Strong background in delivering financial and operational success.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to forge successful relationships across diverse backgrounds.
• Relentless drive for continuous improvement, ability to innovate and anticipate unexpected issues and challenges.
