Full time, PermanentSalary: Competitive salary matched to experienceLocation: This role is based at our Head Office near Castlederg but travel requirements to sites within Ulster will be required.
THE ROLE
- Negotiating and appointing sub-contractors to project schemes.
- Managing sub-contractor package’s through from appointment to final account.
- Preparation of final accounts for submission to client representative.
- The submission of valuations and variations on schemes.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders.
- Identify cost risks and opportunities on projects.
- Building close working relationship with Contracts Manager’s, Site teams and client personnel to deliver quality projects.
- Site Visits: on site to view works completed, quality and management of costs.
THE PERSON
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline
- Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
- Experience in construction contracts such as JCT/NEC
- Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate
- The ability to manage a number of contracts concurrently with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Full valid driving licence
- Experience of large-scale residential developments advantageous but not essential.
