Job Description:

Business Development Manager – Indirect Sales

Energy / Broker Relationships / £55,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus / Remote

We’re working exclusively with one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent energy businesses to recruit a commercially focused Business Development Manager into their expanding Indirect Sales division.

This is a high-profile relationship management role focused on developing and growing partnerships across the UK broker and consultancy market.

The business already has an established network and strong market presence, but they’re now looking for someone who can bring energy, visibility and commercial drive to the role — someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and creating growth opportunities.

This is not a “sit behind a laptop” account management role.

They want someone who is active in the market, confident meeting partners face-to-face, commercially sharp, and capable of building credibility quickly with brokers, consultants and senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing existing broker/TPI relationships
  • Building new partnerships across the energy market
  • Increasing partner engagement and commercial performance
  • Identifying growth opportunities across energy products and services
  • Delivering regular face-to-face meetings and presentations
  • Working closely with internal sales and operational teams
  • Supporting both customer acquisition and retention strategies

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience within the UK energy sector
  • Strong broker/TPI relationship experience
  • Proven background in business development, account management or partner management
  • Commercially minded with strong relationship-building skills
  • Confident presenting and influencing at senior level
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Happy with national travel and partner meetings
  • Full UK driving licence

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Genuine opportunity to shape and grow a key channel within the business
  • Fast-growing, ambitious organisation
  • Remote role with autonomy and flexibility
  • Strong leadership team and collaborative culture
  • Long-term progression opportunities

Salary is flexible depending on experience, with car allowance and additional bonus structure included.
