Lymphoedema Clinical Support Worker

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic support worker to complement our multidisciplinary lymphoedema service at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.

Our role focuses on enhancing the patient experience by contributing to a friendly, welcoming clinical environment for patients and visitors and supporting the clinical team with patient care and administrative tasks.

Main Duties

  • Assist the clinical team in providing direct, individualised patient care and support.
  • Provide administrative support by ordering and posting requested lymphoedema garments, maintaining stock levels within the clinic.

Person Specification

Skills and Experience

  • Good standard of IT skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Clear communication with patients, relatives, carers, colleagues and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Previous experience in a caring role.
  • Previous administrative experience.

Education

  • Good basic education at GCSE level.
  • Well written application and personal statement.

  • Physically able to assist with manual handling and basic patient care.
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude.
