Salary: Grade D. Scale 7 – £20,396 to Scale 10 – £21,393 (actual salary, part time, TTO)

Hours Per Week: 32.5 hours (term time only)

Base Location: St Damians RC Science College

Assessment Date: Week commencing 29th June 2026

Role Overview

St Damian’s is an oversubscribed Roman Catholic Science College. We have been judged Outstanding by Ofsted. We are looking for two enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to work under the guidance of the SENDCO, teachers and senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to pupils so they can access the curriculum and participate in learning.
• Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
• Work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
• Support pupils during 32½ hours each week, term time only Monday to Friday.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous relevant experience desirable but not essential.
• Subject to enhanced DBS disclosure.
• Successful completion of six-month probationary period.
