Qualified Social Worker – Adults (FTC 6 months)

West Northamptonshire Council is hiring a Social Worker for the Adult Social Care services in Northampton.

What will you be doing?

Provide support and assessments for adults with learning disabilities and related needs throughout West Northamptonshire.

• Support community hubs across Northamptonshire, Daventry, Towcester, and Brackley.
• Provide specialist assessments for flow and capacity, discharge and review, and identify best interests of individuals.
• Engage with safeguarding and prevention of abuse for adults 18+.
• Apply the Care Act 2014, including best‑interest and deprivation of liberty safeguards.
• Work collaboratively with community, health, voluntary and other partners.

About you

• Social work qualification/equivalent and registration with Social Work England.
• Proactive, innovative, and effective problem solver.
• Strong communication skills and ability to support fast‑paced environments.
