ABOUT US

The Best Connection are currently recruiting HGV CLASS 1 (C+E) TRAMPER

Drivers on behalf of our client, a well-established and respected business within the recycling and materials sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

THE ROLE

We are seeking professional drivers with ARTIC TIPPER EXPERIENCE who are willing to tramp out a minimum of 4 NIGHTS PER WEEK.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Driving modern BULKER TIPPER VEHICLES (Scania, Volvo, DAF)
• Transporting materials between sites and customer locations
• Ensuring safe, timely deliveries
• Delivering a high standard of customer service
• Working independently while maintaining communication with the operations team

PAY & WORKING HOURS

• £18.32 PER HOUR
• MINIMUM 45 HOURS GUARANTEED PER WEEK (typical 65-70 hours)
• OVERTIME PAID AFTER 45 HOURS AT TIME + ü
• SATURDAY RATE: TIME + ü
• £25 NIGHT OUT ALLOWANCE PER NIGHT

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid HGV CLASS 1 (C+E) LICENCE
• Minimum 1 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE
• Maximum 6 PENALTY POINTS
• Must be 25 YEARS OR OLDER
• Previous ARTIC TIPPER EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (training available)
• Flexible and willing to tramp (minimum 4 nights per week)

• A strong communicator with good customer service skills
• Safety-conscious and proactive in identifying risks
