Member Support Advisor

Overview

The NASUWT is the leading Trade Union representing the interests of teachers and school leaders throughout the UK working across the maintained sector and in academies and independent schools. Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Member Support Services Team and work flexibly on a rota between the hours 8.00am – 6.30pm, according to the needs of the service.
• Provide advice, information and guidance to teachers on a wide range of matters relating to their employment and membership of the union, through a busy telephone advice line and via email.

Requirements

• Knowledge of employment law or teachers’ terms and conditions is essential.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of Trade Unions, outstanding member care skills, and experience of providing telephone advice and guidance within a legal or employment context.
• Experience of delivering telephone-based guidance in a professional setting.

Details

• Temporary Contract up to 12 months
• 24 hours per week, Monday – Thursday (6 hours per shift)
• Based in Rednal, Birmingham – Hybrid working
