Overview

Position

This post is 32.5 hours per week, fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.

Responsibilities

  • Providing individual support to a pupil/pupils with additional needs.
  • Supporting the pupil to engage with learning activities and follow classroom routines.
  • Implementing strategies from individual support or education plans.
  • Encouraging the pupil’s social, emotional and communication development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, wider staff and parents where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will

  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable).
  • Be patient, empathetic and flexible.
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
