SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities suited to individual needs
- Work with children with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language challenges
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social interaction
- Liaise closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider support team
SEN Teaching Assistant – About You
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or specialist setting
- Patient, flexible, and able to adapt to different learning styles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant TA qualifications are beneficial but not essential
