To work as part of an early years team helping to provide a high quality of care for the children aged 0-5 years in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the health and safety of children in your care.
  • Collaborate with Early Years Practitioners to create a safe, stimulating environment that supports children’s development.
  • Be a key person for a group of children, helping them settle in, building relationships with them and their families, and maintaining accurate records of their progress.
  • Communicate daily with parents, sharing updates about their child’s welfare and progress.
  • Plan and contribute to individual and group activities that encourage learning and development.
  • Work flexibly across different rooms and age groups, and occasionally at other locations within North Bristol Trust.
  • Attend staff training and meetings to stay updated and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Follow the EYFS framework, North Bristol Trust policies and procedures, and data protection guidelines.
  • Promote equal opportunities and maintain a culturally sensitive environment.
  • Contribute to quality assurance schemes and attend parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and staff appraisals.
  • Maintain professional relationships, build teamwork, and share ideas.
  • Adhere to the setting’s dress code at all times.
  • Be aware of data protection and the importance of confidentiality.
