Job Description
We are welcoming a highly experienced Part-Time Sole-Charge Educated Nanny for two girls aged 6 and 9. The family is a private household in Notting Hill with children engaged in football, athletic training, gymnastics, musical instruments, arts, cinema, bike riding, basketball, and football. The household values education, community service, holistic nutrition, a strong work ethic, kindness, curiosity, and individuality.
The Nanny will deliver emotional intelligence, operational self-sufficiency, professional warmth, and proactive engagement, providing support in daily and social matters, academic matters, and extracurricular activities.
Travel
Occasional infrequent travel during school holidays to the US and around Europe, and occasional UK and abroad trips.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Thursday, Term-time: 12:00 pm – 6:30 pm
- Approximately 29 hours per week, blended across the year with flexibility for school holidays and family travel.
The role starts in August.
Key Responsibilities
Sole charge of two girls (aged 6 and 9) in full-time school.
- After-school pick-up; supervision of homework, reading, and 11+ preparation alongside tutor.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks; manage girls’ laundry, bedrooms, and personal belongings.
- Coordinate and accompany after-school activities, playdates, and extracurriculars.
- Evening routine: baths, reading, bedtime; full days during school holidays from 9:00 am.
- Household support during school hours: manage deliveries, errands, household admin, organize appointments and light coordination with other contractors.
- Organize wardrobes, school uniforms, and equipment.
- Plan ahead for holidays, birthdays, travel, and activities.
- Active engagement with academic life; liaise with school staff; support 11+ preparation and reading confidence.
- Comfort with dogs and assist with family golden retriever.
- Occasional travel with family.
- Maintain calm, organized, warm household environment.
Required Skills (Candidate Profile)
- NNEB, CACHE, Norland or equivalent.
- Fluency in English.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Paediatric first-aid certificate.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in this role.
- Long tenure in previous roles.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized.
- Fun and positive outlook.
- Diplomatic and approachable.
- Pay: £20–25 per hour, gross, depending on experience.
