Lord Hardy Court Residential Home and Park Hill Lodge Learning Disability Services.

A Night Care Assistant is required at the above home on a permanent basis working part time, 23.3 hours per week.

Enhancements are paid for night time working and weekends.

Lord Hardy Court provides care to 60 older people, with a range of individual needs with a Learning Disability setting. The home also provides Respite, IMC Step-up Step-down services to the community joint working with NHS.

Applicants ideally need experience in a social care setting and have Level 2 or Direct Care NVQ or equivalent; training is available in-house and through the councils’ own programmes.

Night Care staff are expected to contribute to the provision of a comfortable, stimulating homely environment that meets CQC Fundamental Standards of Care, maintains health and safety, and Dignity in Care Principles.

Night Care Staff are expected to undertake personal tasks required by individual residents in line with their assessed need and plan of care during the night. This includes sensitive care and support to residents and relatives regarding sickness, palliative illness and death.

Lord Hardy Court operates a shift system on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays, with cover required up to 37 hours for leave and sickness.
