Learning & Development Lead
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

We’re working with a growing, purpose-led consultancy operating across major infrastructure and regeneration projects in the UK and Ireland. With a strong focus on people development and a collaborative culture, they’re looking for an L&D Lead to support the continued growth and capability of their teams.
This is a hands-on L&D role where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day learning activity while also shaping practical development initiatives that support business needs. You’ll design and deliver training, work closely with managers, and help embed a strong learning culture across the organisation.
You’ll also manage an L&D Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring learning programmes run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and maintain a practical L&D plan aligned to business needs
- Design and run engaging training sessions (technical, behavioural, leadership)
- Facilitate workshops, inductions, and early careers programmes
- Work with managers to identify development needs and support their teams
- Support leadership and career development pathways across the business
- Oversee graduate development, mentoring, and professional qualifications
- Manage learning systems (LMS), reporting, and programme logistics
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve delivery
- Contribute to a positive learning culture through knowledge-sharing initiatives
We need someone who enjoys being close to delivery, working directly with people, and building practical learning solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience required
- Experience in L&D within a professional services, consultancy, or similar environment
- Strong facilitation and programme delivery skills
- Experience supporting development programmes and career pathways
- Expertise in engaging with managers and senior stakeholders
- Experience of managing or supporting junior team members
- An L&D background in professional services
Ideally you will have
- Experience with LMS or digital learning tools
- Exposure to technical or specialist learning environments
- Coaching or facilitation qualifications
