Job Description Summary: This is a Full Time, Permanent Position. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and dedicated professional to join the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) at a pivotal time. Hull is supported by strong, well-established multi-agency partnerships working collaboratively to safeguard children, young people and their families, underpinned by a shared commitment to continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes. You will work closely with the Head of Safeguarding Partnerships to strengthen and develop safeguarding practice within the HSCP arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of HSCP priorities, driving forward improvement activity and ensuring learning informs practice across all agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with partners and stakeholders across the HSCP to ensure engagement and collaboration.
  • Provide professional support, information and challenge to colleagues across the partnership, ensuring the voices of children, young people and families are heard and used to influence developments.
  • Ensure information is effectively shared across the partnership with emphasis on accuracy, relevance and accessibility for all agencies involved in safeguarding.
  • Represent HSCP at regional and national multi-agency forums and disseminate emerging best practice, policy developments and research locally.

Key Activities

Strong organisational and coordination skills are essential to manage competing priorities, monitor progress against objectives, and support the delivery of partnership work programmes. You will contribute to the development of safeguarding practice through information sharing and dissemination, including mechanisms such as HSCP website and related channels.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong safeguarding expertise with understanding of safeguarding children legislation and statutory guidance (e.g., Working Together to Safeguard Children 2026).
  • Proven experience working collaboratively within multi-agency environments and building relationships with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
  • Highly developed communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical capability to interpret data, identify themes and trends, and contribute to high-quality reports and improvement activities.
  • High attention to detail in producing accurate reports and documentation to support governance.
  • Ability to provide professional consultation and guidance to practitioners to support continuous improvement of safeguarding practice, policy and procedure.
