Reproductive Medicine Unit Project Manager

We have an exciting 12‑month Project Manager opportunity in the Women’s Health Division at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The role requires an experienced operational leader passionate about quality, patient‑centred care and service improvement. The successful candidate will plan and lead complex projects related to new service establishment, productivity, performance, service improvement and income generation.

Main Duties

The post holder will deliver the RMU operational and strategic projects, including NHS and private IVF services, Fertility Preservation, and the 179A development. They will monitor progress, work with clinical teams, administrators, managers and the Trust strategy team to develop service models, and redesign and implement patient pathways.

The role requires close collaboration with the General Manager, Quality Manager, Lead Andrologist, Lead Embryologist, Clinical Leads, Matron and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver large‑scale capital projects, new contracts and service redesign.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Degree or appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
  • Highly specialist project‑management and service‑improvement knowledge gained through qualification or relevant experience
  • Sustained record of continued professional development
  • Master’s qualification or equivalent (or working towards the same)

Experience

  • Significant experience managing complex, large‑scale and high‑profile projects
  • Experience operating in and managing diverse multidisciplinary teams

Skills & Abilities

  • Effective influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and data‑evaluation skills, with ability to solve complex problems
  • Strong grasp of managing project finances and budgets
  • Ability to form excellent relationships with a wide stakeholder base

Salary

£66,274 to £73,496 a year, inclusive of HCAS.
