Overview

Service Manager Children’s Quality Assurance & Review — 6-month contract – immediate start; £400–£450 per day; Inside IR35 (via umbrella); Hybrid working.

Your role

Step into a high-impact Service Manager Children’s Quality Assurance & Review opportunity where you will shape practice, influence outcomes, and drive meaningful improvement across children’s services. Reporting into senior leadership and managing a small but specialist team, you will take ownership of quality assurance, performance insights, and practice development with particular oversight of Conference, Review & LADO services. This is your chance to lead from the front, embed evidence-informed change, and play a central role in strengthening safeguarding and service delivery.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance frameworks, including audits, reviews, and improvement plans
  • Oversee feedback services and LADO functions to ensure robust safeguarding practice
  • Drive performance reporting and present insight to senior leaders and partners
  • Champion practice improvement through evidence-based approaches
  • Represent services in safeguarding partnerships and support inspection readiness

Your experience

  • Strong leadership in children’s social care quality assurance or improvement
  • Proven ability to analyse data and performance to influence change
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and driving outcomes
  • Deep understanding of safeguarding frameworks and statutory responsibilities
  • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous service improvement
