Senior Electrical Engineer – Leeds

The role is within a leading built‑environment consultancy with over 1,500 employees across the UK.

About the Role

You will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across a wide range of projects, from large‑scale developments to smaller, technically complex schemes.

Projects

• Education (primary and secondary schools, £15 m+)
• Commercial offices (£30–40 m developments)
• Healthcare facilities, including hospitals and specialist centres
• Hotels, logistics, and mixed‑use developments

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through to completion
• Manage and coordinate internal and external project teams
• Produce and review detailed calculations, specifications and drawings
• Act as a key client contact and lead project meetings
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and contractors
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and health & safety requirements
• Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates
• Contribute to sustainable design, focusing on energy efficiency and carbon reduction

• Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy
• Strong project leadership and client‑facing experience
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
