About the Role

As a Quality Engineer at Roq, you’ll ensure the delivery of high-quality testing by applying our Solutions Framework and Q-suite assets. You’ll design and execute test cases, build automated test solutions, and work with cross‑functional teams to validate system functionality. This is a collaborative role where you will work closely with diverse client teams, supporting the full testing lifecycle from discovery and planning through execution and defect resolution.

What You’ll Be Doing

Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Create and maintain detailed test execution schedules aligned with test estimates
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, technical resources and Subject Matter Experts to ensure test‑ware and coverage are appropriate
  • Perform in‑depth analysis on systems or system components
  • Record test results and collate appropriate test evidence
  • Manage the defect lifecycle: raise, track, retest, and resolve efficiently

Test Automation (advantageous but not essential)

  • Design, build and maintain automated test solutions using standard industry tooling

Frameworks and Best Practice

  • Utilise and champion Roq’s Solutions Framework, underpinned by our Q‑suite of accelerators, enablers and principles (full training will be provided)

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work collaboratively with diverse client teams in the execution of all appropriate testing levels
  • Support the growth of Roq by sharing updates and positive Client activities internally and externally
  • When required, support other Delivery team members when working with Marketing and Sales departments for Client workshops, RFPs and discovery sessions
  • Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the company

What We’re Looking For

  • A deep interest in delivering quality software that works
  • Continuously seeks to add value, improve processes, and challenge inefficiencies
  • Acts as an advocate for modern testing and quality practices
  • Experienced across a variety of development environments, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid
  • Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and supporting tools, advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrable object‑oriented programming skills
  • Knowledgeable in CI/CD principles and integrating testing into delivery pipelines
  • An ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certification is desirable as a mark of professional testing knowledge and discipline

Commitment

  • Keeps pace with industry trends, new tools, and evolving best practices
  • Provides well‑founded advice on tool selection and framework use
  • Consistently strives to improve both self and team through mentorship and knowledge sharing
