Quality Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join an established engineering business, implementing a hands‑on approach to QHSE Management and focusing on a quality & safety mindset throughout the business. The primary focus of the role is quality assurance and continuous improvement, offering wider support to health, safety and environmental activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with up-to-date ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.
• Support compliance with up-to-date ISO14001 and ISO45001 requirements.
• Champion the process for non‑conforming parts, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and that corrective actions and preventative measures are fit for purpose and have been implemented.
• Support supplier quality assurance activities, including supplier performance monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice.
• Train others in all relevant aspects of the QMS and in the application of procedures.
• Oversee the calibration management system.

About You

• Strong understanding of Aerospace quality engineering to AS9100 standards.
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements to AS9102.
• Certified Auditor to ISO9001.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and geometric tolerance requirements.
• Confident, professional with excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
