Position: Specification Account Manager

We are delighted to be partnering with a premium, globally recognised manufacturer specialising in sustainable repair and maintenance systems for the construction, refurbishment, and heritage sectors. Backed by a major international group, their innovative systems are designed to extend the lifespan of buildings in a highly sustainable way.
With a strong UK presence turning over approximately £6 million, they are embarking on a five-year growth strategy. To support this expansion, they are seeking a tenacious, high-calibre Specification Account Manager to champion their solutions at the front end of thier target territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Specification & Relationship Building: Develop and influence specification opportunities by cultivating deep relationships with architects, building surveyors, local authorities, housing associations, and heritage organisations.
- Project Tracking: Manage the sales pipeline diligently from design to completion, ensuring early project involvement successfully converts into contractor usage.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver high-quality CPD presentations, technical briefings, and on-site toolbox talks to specifiers and contractors.
- Commercial Management: Partner closely with regional contractors, developers, and leading merchant/distributor partners to secure business.
- CRM Discipline: Maintain precise project tracking, pipeline data, and customer information using Salesforce CRM.
Candidate Profile
Our client values expertise, commercial awareness, and collaborative drive. To be considered, you should possess:
- Proven Specification Experience: A solid track record in construction specification development, technical construction sales, or high-level contractor engagement.
- Sector Knowledge: Experience or an established network within the restoration, heritage, or refurbishment sectors is highly beneficial.
- Career Stability: A stable career history is crucial for this position; our client is looking for long-term builders of relationships and explicitly wishes to avoid candidates with inconsistent job histories.
- Pipeline Management: Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles and the commercial acumen to track project data effectively.
- Communication Skills: Confident public speaking abilities, with experience delivering technical or CPD presentations to professional audiences.
- Software Familiarity: Experience using CRM systems is required, and exposure to specification tools like NBS is a distinct advantage.
- Flexibility: A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across a wide regional territory outside of traditional rush hours when required.

- Base Salary: £42,000 to £50,000 per year + Uncapped OTE
