Nursery Lunch Cover – Walton on ThamesPart-Time | Immediate Start Available

20 hours per week (11am-3pm, Monday to Friday, all-year round)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming team in Walton on Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on childcare experience who is passionate about early years education and creating a nurturing environment for young children to thrive.

While this position is open to unqualified applicants, previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting is essential.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for every child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5

  • Assisting in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities

  • Promoting children’s social, emotional and physical development

  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety

  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

  • Contributing to observations and learning journals where required
