Transport CoordinatorSalary: Up to £37,500 per yearLocation: Doncaster – On-siteJob Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours4 on / 4 off shift pattern5:00am – 5:30pmIncludes 1 hour break (30 minutes paid + 30 minutes unpaid) About the role:We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Coordinator to join our busy logistics operation in Doncaster. This is a fast-paced role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth planning, coordination, and delivery of transport activities across our fleet and third-party providers.You will work closely with internal teams to ensure deliveries are completed on time and in full, while maintaining compliance with all transport regulations. Key responsibilities: Plan and execute daily and weekly transport schedules for company vehicles and third-party logistics providersCollaborate with Transport and Operations teams to ensure plans are achievable and efficientLiaise with Sales teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveriesTrack vehicle movements using transport software and report delays or issuesCommunicate progress updates on collections and deliveries to internal stakeholdersManage delivery documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely return of signed paperworkConduct driver briefings and debriefings at the start and end of shiftsMaintain accurate records using ERP systemsEnsure compliance with driver hours regulations and tachograph requirementsMonitor vehicle maintenance schedules and report defectsSupport yard operations, including trailer preparation and shuntingRespond quickly to operational challenges and resolve issues as they arise What we’re looking for: Previous experience as a Transport Coordinator or in a similar roleValid HGV Class 1 licence (however experience is not essential)Strong understanding of transport logistics and supply chain operationsExcellent organisational and multitasking abilitiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsConfident communicator with the ability to work collaborativelyExperience using ERP systems (preferred, however, not essential)Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines What we offer: Competitive salary packageCompany pension schemeFree on-site parkingCasual dress environmentOpportunities for career development within a growing organisation Apply NowIf you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and are passionate about delivering operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
