Situated in the heart of Westminster, the Blue Boar Pub is a modern gastropub with a focus on traditional tavern fare. 300 metres from the Houses of Parliament, the pub is known for warm service and original artwork inspired by political satire.
Typical Day
- Delight guests – bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special.
- Ensure seamless beverage operations – manage all beverage operations for selected banquets and outlets, ensuring top‑tier quality, service, and profitability.
- Drive revenue growth – implement innovative marketing strategies, up‑selling techniques, and promotional initiatives to maximise beverage sales and profit.
- Enhance guest satisfaction and service excellence – support the development and implementation of guest satisfaction strategies, monitor trends, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead a high‑performing team – supervise and support team members, recruit new talent, monitor development, provide coaching, and foster a positive work environment.
- Uphold regulatory standards – maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations to ensure guest and team member well‑being.
Daily Duties
- Manage the Pub service to consistently meet high standards.
- Effectively control the flow of customers and interaction between the front and back‑of‑house throughout service.
- Ensure team members maximise all sales opportunities and consistently maintain brand standards with high levels of customer service.
- Handle all customer inquiries in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Accurately manage all transactions during service.
- Manage team member schedules, stock, and wastage levels.
