Your new role
As a Highway Enforcement Officer you will be responsible for identifying and addressing obstructions, encroachments, and non‑compliant use of the city’s highways and roads. Your duties will include:
- Monitoring businesses and vehicles that may be in breach of regulations
- Collecting evidence and following up on cases
- Ensuring appropriate enforcement actions are taken
- Using relevant enforcement legislation correctly
- Travelling across the city, typically requiring a driving licence
What you’ll need to succeed
- Observant, confident in dealing with the public, and capable of working independently
- Reliable team player
- Driving licence is not essential but may be beneficial for commuting between locations
- Prior enforcement experience is necessary; highway legislation training will be provided
