Job Description

Tom Howley has gone from strength to strength to become a true market leader and the natural choice for discerning clients. We produce furniture of exceptional quality – all made in our own factory here in Britain – and have strong partnerships with the best of the Appliance brands. Our advanced systems allow us to offer an unusually high standard of bespoke design.

We are seeking a Design Coach/Assistant based at Trafford Park, Head Office to cover a 14 month maternity leave contract.

We’re looking for a creative, attention detail and driven Design Coach who wants to play an active part in delivering design support to our Sales Designers.

Role Purpose

The Design Coach/Assistant will be a proactive and supportive Design Coach, playing a key role in supporting the Sales Designers by providing expert guidance, training, and hands‑on assistance throughout the design process. This role ensures that all sales designers are confident in using design tools such as Cabinet Vision, capable of translating client briefs into high quality kitchen designs and equipped to resolve technical or site related design issues. The primary aim is to uphold design excellence and improve designer capability across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide live design support to the Sales Designers via Microsoft Teams screen shares
  • Help Sales Designers turn client briefs into clear, accurate kitchen designs
  • Assist in resolving design issues identified during site surveys
  • Deliver training on Cabinet Vision and best practices
  • Collaborate with Field Installation Managers, Drawing Office, and Sales Designer’s to ensure smooth project delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of kitchen or interior design
  • Confident using Cabinet Vision
  • Great communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to guide, train, and support others
  • Detail oriented, organised, and collaborative
