Job Specification: Swimming Pool Service Engineer
Overview
A established specialist in pool and spa maintenance is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join its technical team.
This is a full‑time, field‑based role covering a broad regional territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and installation of both commercial and domestic leisure systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Maintenance: Carry out plant preventive maintenance schedules and service dosing systems.
- Repairs & Installations: Perform the replacement of pumps, filters, and other critical plant equipment.
- Project Support: Assist with new build pool projects and the installation of hot tubs.
- Diagnostics: Attend breakdowns and conduct technical fault finding on a diverse range of pool equipment.
- Customer Service: Act as a professional point of contact when attending customer premises, ensuring high standards of service.
Candidate Requirements
- Technical Background: Proven experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Expertise: Practical knowledge of both commercial and domestic pool systems.
- Qualifications: Ideally ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers) qualified.
- Driving: A clean, valid driving licence is mandatory.
- Soft Skills: Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Terms & Benefits
- Salary: Starting pay of £16.50+ per hour.
- Working Hours: Standard hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- Break: A 30‑minute unpaid lunch break at 1:00 pm.
- Overtime: Flexibility is required for work outside standard hours when necessary.
- Company Vehicle: A vehicle suitable for the role’s duties will be provided for business use.
- Holiday: 28 days of annual leave, including Bank Holidays.
