Field Service Engineer – Manchester

We’re working with a well-established and growing business within the recycling and waste processing sector, supporting customers across the UK with high-quality equipment and service. Due to continued growth, we are looking to bring in an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover the North West.

Role

• Service, maintenance, and repair of recycling equipment including shredders, crushers, screeners, and associated plant machinery.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Attend breakdowns and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Work closely with customers on‑site, providing a professional and reliable service.
• Complete job sheets and reports accurately.
• Occasional travel further afield when required.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience working on heavy plant, recycling, crushing and screening, or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of hydraulics and electric systems.
• Experience working in a field‑based role.
• Ability to fault find and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Basic salary £40,000 – £45,000.
• Overtime available – realistic OTE £70,000+.
