We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our team based in Fareham and lead the Payroll team. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for Managing the Payroll team as well as a portfolio of payroll clients.

As a Payroll Manager your role will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
  • Making timely RTI submissions
  • Applying knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments, for example, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP.
  • Applying knowledge of pension schemes, including AE process and pension upload to pension providers website.
  • Keeping up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Proactively liaise with HMRC and assist with technical enquiries when they arise.
  • Processing manual payroll calculations.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Using your own initiative to resolve issues.
  • Supporting and developing a payroll team

The ideal Payroll Manager will:

  • Have experience using Sage Payroll
  • Be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation.
  • Have knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.
