About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a busy sheet metal company based in Buntingford. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in welding, fabrication, or general metalworking who’s looking for steady, long‑term work with the potential to go permanent. You’ll be working on a range of metal fabrication projects, producing high‑quality work for commercial and industrial clients.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out MIG welding and general fabrication work
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components
- Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely
- Maintain a tidy work area and follow health and safety procedures
- Work as part of a small, skilled team to complete custom and production jobs
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Welder, Fabricator, or Sheet Metal Worker
- Skilled in MIG welding
- Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of metalwork and fabrication techniques
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
This position would suit someone from a fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing background such as a Metalworker, Workshop Operative, or Mechanical Fitter with welding experience. It’s ideal for anyone who enjoys hands‑on, practical work and takes pride in producing quality metalwork.
