Title: Maintenance Technician UPVC Carpenter
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £41,200 per annum
Location: North London
Persona: Mobile Working (van provided). Contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required.
Reporting Office: Stratford, London
Responsibilities
The role will involve all aspects of internal and external window repairs, including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits, and general maintenance. Carpentry skills will be required to fulfil the duties. Operatives will be supplied with a L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment, and will travel to jobs assigned via a handheld PDA. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance; the position is the first line of contact for residents, requiring outstanding customer service and a commitment to delivering a “right‑first‑time” service. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with opportunities to earn additional pay from call‑outs and out‑of‑hours service.
Qualifications
- Sound working trade knowledge and experience
- Experience gained within a maintenance, site and/or housing environment
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Health and Safety conscious
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Wide range of multi‑trade skills
