Location: East London RM3 8SB | Coverage: Central London

Work: Fire & Smoke Curtain Installation

We are seeking an experienced Smoke Curtain Fitter to carry out fire protection works in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of Smoke and Fire Curtains. The work is largely mechanical and may involve working at height. Travel into Central London for installation projects is required on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Install fire curtains, smoke curtains, and related systems across a range of environments (office buildings, retail, industrial, and residential properties).
• Work on projects from small doorway curtain installations to large, complex systems (e.g., enclosing escalators and open areas).
• Perform tasks that are largely mechanical and often require working at height.
• Travel to Central London for installation projects as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing fire curtains, roller shutter doors, garage doors, or similar systems.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work in pairs on a daily basis.
• Comfortable working at height.
• Able to manage own workload and supervise a labourer.
• Reliable, mature, and attendance-focused.
• CSCS card required.
• NVQ – desirable but not essential.
• IPAF & PASMA – desirable.

Salary and Benefits

• Basic Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (experience dependent).
• Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week, 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm.
