Key Responsibilities
- Provide procurement support across Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and other stakeholder organisations.
- Assist the Procurement Team with day‑to‑day operations, including updating and maintaining procurement systems (Procurement Catalogues, Unit 4 (Agresso) integration, Contracts Database, Stock Management systems).
- Liaise with the Procurement Team, customers and suppliers to resolve issues, ensuring an effective cost‑efficient service and first‑class customer service.
- Ensure accuracy, meet tight deadlines and comply with policies and procedures to achieve key performance targets.
- Raise awareness of the procurement department and provide advice and guidance to relevant departments.
- Develop, prepare and report KPI data.
- Engage in low‑value sourcing of products and services.

Skills and Knowledge
- Planning and organising: prioritise own workload against competing demands and time pressures.
- Logical, organised and efficient work approach.
- Work under pressure within defined objectives and timetables.
- Work both individually and as part of a team.
- Analytical and judgement skills: manipulate data from multiple sources to inform decision making.
- Move data between systems or produce data for inclusion into electronic systems.
- Communication and relationships: produce timely, accurate written/electronic records and documents.
- Liaise and interact with staff at all levels in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
- Training and education: advise and coach other professionals on procurement systems.
- Knowledge of procurement principles acquired through training and/or experience.
- Advanced keyboard skills.
Qualifications and Training
- 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Experience
- IT literate with demonstrable experience working with a number of IT systems.
- Advanced Excel user – data sorts, lookups, comparators, pivot tables.
- Unit 4 (Agresso) use or equivalent E‑Procurement System experience.
- Stock management knowledge.
