The role

  • As a Leaving Care / UASC Social Worker you will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (SWE) and experienced in Children’s Social Care.
  • You will have a robust career background looking after children and children in care, sound knowledge and understanding of all children’s legislation, particularly in housing and immigration law, statutory guidance and processes, ready to specialise in this service. Ideally you will have previous experience of completing age assessments.
  • You will be working with young people who have been through the most traumatic experiences, ideally having previously worked with unaccompanied minors. You will need to have the empathic interpersonal skills to understand their background and identify and provide the specific support they need.
  • As a skilled social worker you will have the drive, dedication and passion to deliver excellent services and improve outcomes to ensure a positive difference and brighter future for our children and young people of Liverpool.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and up to date registration with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
