Social Work Assistant (Full-time)
We are seeking a Social Work Assistant to support our young people aged 0‑18 within our Children in Care Service.
What is involved?
You will supervise family time, ensure emotional and physical safety, complete child life story work, administer SDQ questionnaires to review emotional and mental health needs, and record dental dates to support health reviews.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise family time for children and family members.
- Ensure emotional and physical safety for children.
- Complete child life story work to support understanding of their journey into care.
- Administer SDQ questionnaires with children and caregivers to review emotional and mental health needs.
- Record dental dates to support child health reviews.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs (A‑C grades) or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience in supporting children and supervising family time.
- Valid driving licence, car and business insurance to transport children.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure required.
