My daughter is a happy, sociable young person who is supported by a loving and caring family. She has learning difficulties, along with some speech and language delays. This role is all about providing kind, one-to-one support to help her develop communication skills, enjoy social activities, and feel confident exploring the world around her.
Responsibilities
- Gently support and encourage her speech and language development through everyday interaction and play.
- Help her take part in activities after school and during holiday periods, encouraging her to try new things.
- Encourage her to stay active and enjoy different environments such as the park, beach, or soft play areas.
- Provide support with personal care when needed, including help with toileting, especially during menstruation.
- Give parents the opportunity to spend time with her sibling by offering reliable and caring support.
- Always keep her safe, being mindful that she is averse to loud noises and dogs, and taking care to reduce any risks.
